Richard Perez’s inspiration for “Synthesis” comes from the natural environment and its effect on the human psyche; and the combination of both that form a system. Although the big picture is found in his work, he focuses on the components, tiny and fascinating, that make up the whole. To create his images, the artist uses thread much as a painter uses paint. His choice of unique materials and technical qualities allow him to create a sense of movement and spontaneity in his work.
“Synthesis” by Richard Perez will be on view from September 25 to October 4, 2020 at Galerie Joaquin at the U.P. Town Center. The Galerie is located at the 2nd floor of Phase 2 U.P.
