Altro Mondo presents What Lives In Our Temple, a solo exhibition by Robert Besana. The exhibit opens on January 16th and will run until February 7th.
What Lives In Our Temple was born out of Robert Besana’s questioning of everything during the early months of lockdown. One of the images that latched onto his mind was that of a temple. In Christian belief, the body is said to be the temple of the Holy Spirit. If the temple is occupied with unnecessary things, there’s no space for the Holy Spirit to dwell. Though many things were lost during the pandemic, Besana saw it as an opportunity to think about what truly mattered — and what was worth keeping in his temple.
