In Today’s Language, Bad Means Good
Bad Cafe, Word of Mouth, Good Intentions Books, and the Cultural Center of the Philippines, through the Intertextual Division’s Performatura Festival, will hold a global prose reading.
Bad Words at Bad Café will showcase the flexibility of prose as a performed piece—whether it is flash fiction, nonfiction, or even spontaneous writing. Among the featured performers are writers from Word of Mouth, the journal LUNA, the publication “In Certain Seasons: Mothers Write in the Time of Covid,” Robin Hemley, Stephen O’Connor, Helen Benedict, and SINTALAB of Quezon Province.
The event is curated by Dianne Mendoza-Westphal, Bebang Siy, and Sarge Lacuesta. This session is free and open to the public.
