Carlo Vergara is a graphic designer, illustrator, screenwriter, playwright, stage actor, college instructor, and award-winning comics creator. His notable creations are the LGBT superhero Zsazsa Zaturnnah, the stage musical “Kung Paano Ako Naging Leading Lady,” and the fantasy prose collection “Alternativa”.
Formerly a magazine art director for Summit Media and a concept consultant for GMA News and Public Affairs, he is currently an Instructor of graphic design, writing, and illustration for the De La Salle College of St. Benilde Multimedia Arts Program. He was also a design consultant for New Zealand-based social media agency Conversologie. His acclaimed plays include “Mula sa Kulimliman” and “Edgar Allan Hemingway” for the Virgin Labfest.
