Cine Filipina spotlights women in local and international cinema that represent the joys, struggles, and triumphs of womanhood. From era-defining Filipino classics by National Artists for Film Marilou Diaz-Abaya and Ishmael Bernal to contemporary films that portray new generations of women, Cine Filipina honors women’s voices in Philippine cinema and beyond.
The FDCP will also bring acclaimed films from Cannes-winning filmmaker Céline Sciamma and Academy Award-nominated director Joachim Trier to the big screen.
