Langgam Performance Troupe’s Studio
68 Mahiyain corner Madasalin St., Sikatuna Village, Quezon City

After three years of practicing theater on the internet, Langgam Performance Troupe is finally ready to take our craft to face-to-face actor-audience engagements. But before they make their show open to the public, they would like to invite you as a critic to watch their open rehearsal. Be the first to experience their unique offering and help extol the values of non-traditional theater-making through your unique capacity as critic or theater writer.

This April to May of 2023, the Langgam Performance Troupe will be opening its metaphorical curtains with Pangulong Bangaw, a poetic adaptation of William Golding’s Lord of the Flies. Whence Lord of the Flies is an allegory to the fall of society casting a slew of young men trapped on a deserted island, Pangulong Bangaw is an allegory of the fall of society which takes the primacy of a singular actor struggling to control its flailing components. In this non-traditional and experimental presentation, we hope to contextualize our milieu of extremely partisan politics where our society becomes vulnerable to groupthink, to sloganism, to personality-based politics. Pangulong Bangaw asks if it is possible to remain critical, autonomos, and organized in these times.

On April 5, you may expect to see the first half of Pangulong Bangaw and converse with the play’s artistic staff over dinner and coffee.
