From Feb 12 to March 14 at the UP Vargas Museum, Common Space / Swarm Bibliotheque will be an autonomous hub for direct action. The goal of the project is also within the idea of discovering and re-learning environmental sustainability to empower self awareness and self-initiation towards practical and ethical systems of thinking in art practice and in communities. A demarcated space will make room for five autonomous artistic and anarchist projects namely: Onsite Infoshop (Mandaluyong based infoshop and community center, by Activist and researcher Bas Umali, https://onsiteinfoshopphilippines.wordpress.com/), Etnikobandido (Pasig based infoshop and community center by Activist and researcher Chung De Vera, http://ebinfoshop.surestepintegral.com/), Marindukanon Studies Center (Marinduqe based info shop and research center by researcher and activist, Randy Nobleza, http://marindukanon.weebly.com/), overXout (Collapsible infoshop by artist England Hidalgo, http://overxout.blogspot.nl/), and Civ Lab (Tactical laboratory by artist Jong Pairez, http://neotasaday.wordpress.com/). The space will serve as a temporary active space (info shop) that will function as a meeting point, workshop space (D.I.Y Solar Power, Wi-fi/Radio Station), lounge and bibliotheque.

The skill sharing event will focus on utilizing and transforming objects that are considered trash by households. Participants must bring basic trade materials like old things from their own collections, functional objects and works that may be considered utilitarian, ready for trading (displayable artworks may be included with the sole value of trading purposes). Marindukanon Studies Center hosts a series of skills sharing and talks about survival, sustainability, ecology and resistance. This time ISM x MSC invited Mag-Isa Collective to share their vision of revolution. Everyone is encouraged to bring sweet potatoes, raw or cooked to be shared with other participants. Mag-Isa Collective is an autonomous formation geared towards learning from indigenous peoples and urban living practices.

Marindukanon Studies Center hosts a series of skills sharing and talks about survival, sustainability, ecology and resistance. This time ISM x MSC invited various groups from Kontemporaryong Gamelang Pilipino, Filipino Cultural Creatives, PeaceChurch Philippines and Kaibuturan to conduct drum circle. The drum circle would involve creative exercises using beats to create good vibes and renewed energy. The creative skills sharing would also feature story telling of travels and sojourns of participants from various walks of life and experiences regarding indigenous peoples and rural folks.

DJ Shadow will attempt to discuss a plethora of issues ranging from mining, land grabbing, false health and nutrition studies and the effects, among others; and why they matter to our very survival. The program will focus on the individual and will attempt to answer the questions of survival in context of apocalyptic climate disasters and personal struggles.
The radio show will be a dialogue/interaction between DJ Seitan and DJ Shadow. At the end of the show, listeners and the DJs, would have hopefully learned to appreciate the old saying, “where the mind goes, the body follows”.
