Introspection

Introspection emerged from the artists’ desire to embody the exploration of self, examination of thoughts, appreciation of quiet beauty, and contemplation of reality.

It is a reflection of the various states of mind, a collective expression of what often transpires within people’s thoughts as they go through realizations.

The exhibition highlights non-representational as perceived in its many forms — be it in the living world, imagination, or curiosity. Introspection features the works of seven Filipino artists within their own creative vocabulary.

Collectively, the gathering of pieces invites us to experience their internal universes and how ideas are formed even in the absence of representation.
