Kapaligiran

Poster Making Contest

The pandemic is a global phenomenon that is currently threatening the health and safety of the people and poses a big challenge to the survival of mankind. Wearing of face masks, face shields and other personal protective equipment (PPE) became the new fashion and symbol of protection and safety. However, this has, likewise, created a bigger threat to our environment due to the massive amount of hazardous and domestic wastes that is being generated from our health care facilities and individual households. The lifestyle of online purchase and delivery created an unsustainable culture of disposables. If this situation is not strategically addressed, this problem will create a ripple effect and be a bigger health threat to the people as well as a global environmental concern hastening the effect of climate change and weakening our fight against COVID-19.

Therefore, there is a need to create awareness and action to this alarming situation. This competition aims to create awareness on maintaining and creating a healthier environment, & promote innovative actions and be part of a solution.
