The perennial resilience of mankind continues to resonate despite an inevitable chain of events brought about by the pandemic. Like many who have extensively endured, artist Ciron Señeres highlights the fragility of the world from an outbreak of disarray in “Land Escape.”

Señeres’ exhibit explores the candid sentiments perceived in the course of restrictions and limitations through his subjects of crumpled and tied plastic. The artist depicts a singular landscape of his artworks set side by side. As one gazes through the individual work, consequently moving from one canvas to the next, a recurring narrative of emotional constraints and challenged mobility manifests. With each bind painted in his monochrome colors, Señeres portrays the routineness of life during quarantine, a common tale echoed.

Toward the end of the landscape, Señeres’ body of work substantiates a collection of relatable musings on control of movement, as folds, twists, and knots seem to be familiar feelings pressed on current existence. Conversely, this panorama further stirs realizations of equivalent hopes of breaking loose from the pattern, inspiring untouched lands, and adding to the chronicles of triumphant escapes.
