Since its inception in 2008, Enemies of Saturn has definitely come into its own with regards to the independent music scene. From playing top indie productions Sonic Boom and Revolver, to major festivals such as Fete de la Musique, and opening for top bands like Bamboo and Rivermaya in various corporate shows, EOS has played up a storm with their extremely tight performances, and attendees have always been left astonished, wanting more of EOS’ brand of sexually charged, hard-rock.
Enemies of Saturn is fronted by Miko Santaromana, whose forcefully sincere vocals pay homage to Fuel’s Richard Patrick and Incubus’ Brandon Boyd. He is accompanied by no less than emerging guitar prodigy Louis Isok (Wilabaliw), 21 year-old drum phenom Fred Sison, and indie scene veteran Brian Mendoza (Loquy) on bass. Together they produce the melodic, funk-infused, driving rock sound fans have come to identify with EOS.
Industry insiders have hailed the bands’ potential. Their song ‘Mushroom Stamp’, released on Kerplunk! studio’s 2009 Defiant Sampler, is a certified underground hit. They are also the Oct.’09 featured artist on independent music channel, Splintr.com. Currently wrapping up production on their debut album, Enemies of Saturn aims to spread their music beyond the local stage, staying ever committed to raising existing musical standards.
“Bigayan” is their first radio single.
