Profile:
Zeros Over Tokyo (referring to Japan's Mistubishi Zeros of WWII) is an upcoming rock quintet formed by Lara Lardizabal (vocals) and Rica Yulo (drums), along with Meng Mirabueno in June 2008. Joining them are Chris Mercado (bass) and Iggy Javellana (guitar). Soon after, Vince Diy (guitar) took over Meng's chores to complete the band.
The band is influenced by numerous genres including metal, shoegaze, power punk, grunge, funk and even glam and disco rock. This diverse mix of influences fuels the band in creating a unique wall of sound that provides ambiance to emotive lyrics.
Zeros Over Tokyo continues to make crafty music that can't be boxed into any particular genre. With hard hitting and sometimes disco-banging beats, wailing guitar solos and crunch-rockin' bass lines combined with earnest melodic vocals, the band sure has got the recipe in creating good music down pat.
