Ride and Rock Relief 2 For the benefit of the monsoon victims
Dakila – Philippine Collective for Modern Heroism, Yadu 621, and Bikekada – Manila Urban Cycling Group will be having its 2nd Ride and Rock Relief in partnership with The Collective, Manila Fixed Gear, POWPinay, Folding Bike Pilipinas, Try on Marketing, MTB Brothers, Kaffir, Calle, Surf United Philippines, Mochiko, and Mr. Zaldy Austria.
The 1st Ride and Rock Relief happened in December 29, 2011 in an effort to help the victims of Sendong in Iligan and Cagayan de Oro. An initiative of Dakila – Philippine Collective for Modern Heroism, POWPinay, and Yadu 621, in partnership with Tiktok Pilipinas, BSide, TatTulungan, MTB.PH, The Firefly Brigade, Folding Bike Pilipinas, and Mr. Zaldy Austria, Ride and Rock Relief brought together musicians, cyclists, tattoo artists, and volunteers to join forces in the efforts to raise funds and gather relief goods for Sendong victims.
This time, the Ride and Rock Relief will be for the benefit of the monsoon victims in Malabon City through Gawad Kalinga.
WE WOULD LIKE TO INVITE YOU to the event to help bring donations and pack goods at Yadu Store, The Collective, Malugay, Makati (Please see map below).

RIDE TIME: 8AM–9:30AM
RECIEVING OF GOODS TIME: 10AM-3PM
DELIVERING OF GOODS TIME: 4PM-5PM
WHERE: Cubao/Pasay/San Juan/Pasig to Yadu Store, Makati
WHAT: Relief drive through cycling, music, and art. Please see information below for more details on RIDE, ROCK, and RELIEF.
I. RIDE TO GATHER:

b. Ride out: 8am

3. Meet-up point #3: Greenhills Shopping Center bike parking, San Juan
a. Assembly: 8am
b. Ride out: 8:30am
c. Route: To be announced and led by Joey Tan of Firefly Brigade
4. Meet-up point #4: Calle, 14 San Guillermo Ave. Buting Pasig City.

c. Route: To be announced and led by Mai Mailan of Manila Fixed Gear
Reminders:
• Bring relief goods
• Wear head protection gear
• Bring raincoat (just in case)
• Bring head and tail lights (just in case)
• Bring your own water
• Bring your own snacks/baon (There’s a nearby 711 where you can buy food and drinks in the morning)
All cyclists will converge at Yadu Store. ETA is from 9:30 – 10:30am. Upon arriving at Yadu Store, cyclists will be asked to help in the registration and will be tasked to help out in segregating, packing, and labeling the relief goods.
Receiving of relief goods will be from 10am – 3pm. Goods delivered after that will not be accepted.
Loading of relief goods inside cars/vans/trucks will be from 3pm – 4pm.
II. ROCK TO REACH OUT.
While this is all happening, Musicians/Artists will be jamming inside Yadu Store from 1pm – 4pm.

III. RELIEVE THE VICTIMS.
1. What you can give:
a. Easy to cook, not easily perishable food (instant noodles, canned goods)
b. Potable water
c. Hygienic products (toilet papers, sanitary napkins, underwear, diapers)
d. Medicines and first aid kit (alcohol, betadine, band-aids, etc.)
e. Blankets
f. Slippers, boots, and rubber shoes (shoes with heels will not be accepted)
g. Clothes (please give proper clothes, not torn clothes)
h. Rain coats
i. Umbrellas
2. What we need for packing the relief goods:
a. Balik-Bayan or any kind of boxes
b. HUGE garbage bags or sako for relief goods
c. Packaging tapes
d. Masking tapes
e. Packing ropes
f. Clean bond papers
g. Permanent markers/Pentel pens to label the relief boxes
3. What you can do:
a. Give relief goods
b. Volunteer to pack, segregate, label, and box relief goods
c. Sponsor a truck/big closed container van to transport all relief goods from Makati to QC
d. Volunteer your car to transport relief goods from Makati to QC
e. Feed and hydrate the volunteers
f. Give cash donation (please see bank details below)

By 5pm, all goods will be brought to the head quarters of Gawad Kalinga in Quezon City. Gawad Kalinga will distribute all collected goods to Malabon City.
