Enriching your creativity is the goal of each artist. Enriching the creativity of others is a more noble goal. This year I selected 5 events that serve this noble purpose. What's even greater was these events didn't just happen once. I salute the vision of the organizers and the minds behind these endeavours.
1. Hustle for ...
Organized by Butta-Flava Entertainment and the Pinoy HipHoppaz Organization, their goal was to raise funds for the hospitalization and treatment of child patients. They started it last 2010. Their past beneficiaries survived but this year's beneficiary didn't make it. It's a sad thing, but it won't stop there because the victory was the felt when a lot of people got involved and help out.

2. Popcorn Mondays
Starting a week with an artful blast was the goal of Popcorn Mondays. In a school for art, iAcademy wanted to cultivate and awaken the talents of the students. A good thing about this event is the variety of style and approach to present different disciplines of art. This year, they showcase the Art of Mind Reading, Spoken Word Poetry, the Vagina Monologue (in Tagalog version), and a lot more. There are still so much art to expose that I look forward for them to showcase next year.

4. Kanto's Book Swap
As an art gallery, Kanto features the independent visual artist's raw and original styles. Seeing that artists and their audience are fond of the same books, they created the Book Swap event where sharing is practiced. Because it is a literary event, they included poetry reading. Plus musician friends play to support the event.

5. Ride Rock Relief
When Ondoy left a huge wound in the City of Pasig and Marikina, a lot of people lend out their resources to help out. This is where Dakila's Ride Rock Relief started. They combine their campaign in promoting bicycles as a means of transportation and talents of musicians to reach out to more people, and together help the victims thru the gathered relief efforts. It continued to serve it's purpose up to the latest event that happened, now helping out the survivors of Typhoon Yolanda.
