This is a call, a return.
A call to return to nature, our most splendid, heavenly “dreamlike” world, there but apart from us.
Mara and Diana both grew up in Metro Manila and loved the city culture but both had deep rooted feelings towards plants and animals and our bodies that is part of the cosmic “out there” beyond politics, religion, and money, the incredible beauty of nature is there waiting for all of us, calling to us to return to its One embrace, we must only look with our other set of eyes.
This exhibit is an expression of that desire to return to the mother earth, to remind us what is truly important; the spirit that lives in all of us.
The series is a mixed media presentation, using the mediums of photography, paint on different surfaces, and of course the use of natural material and images of nature, the body, the spirit of nature and life.
