Sining LABinsiyam (SiLAB) is a production house under De La SalleCollege of Saint Benilde’s Theater Arts Program formed in May 2021 by a group of batch 119 student-artists practicing theater production. The team envisions to ardently bring the underrepresented Filipino narratives into the contemporary stage with honest portrayal and theatrical experience.

With the head of the family, Tatay, working as a troll for the Mayor, the rest of the family deals with the situation with their own quirks and motivations without listening and communicating with each other—letting their already strained relationship become even more estranged.

“Pamilya” portrays the different effects of disinformation to one’s relationships. As a clash of political beliefs and confusion from the different family members arise, hidden issues slowly surface with guilt and outright denial of the truth gluing the last threads of their relationship together.

“Pamilya” by Dr. Layeta Bucoy is a full-length play about a dysfunctional Filipino family whose lives exist and broadcasted through different Social Media platforms. Each with their own beliefs and varying sentiments, every member of the family navigates their already strained relationship with newer issues brought on by political disinformation.
