PPO Stages Virtual Pocket Performance on June 18

The Philippine Philharmonic Orchestra stages its next series of online concerts billed as The PPO Spotlight: Virtual Pocket Performances to be streamed on June 18, 2021 at 8pm, Friday through the Cultural Center of the Philippines’ Website.

 

 

Program for the June 18 concert, which focuses on the music of Willy Cruz and Rey Valera, features the following pieces such as Kahit Na by Willy Cruz to be performed by Dino Akira Decena (Violin), Giuseppe Andre Diestro (Cello) Jascha Obieta Decena (Piano); Kahit Maputi Na Ang Buhok Ko by Rey Valera to be played by Edgardo Silangcruz (Flute); Walang Kapalit by Rey Valera arr. by Manny Manalo and to be rendered by Glober Calambro (Trumpet), Melvin Miranda (Trumpet), Jay-Ar Mesa (French Horn), Alejandro Fernandes (Trombone), Benedicto Dela Peret Jr. (Tuba), Aimee Dela Cruz (Glockenspiel and Marimba), Elizalde Tolentino (Vibraphone), Ederic Sampedro (Drums); and Sharon Medley by Willy Cruz and Rey Valera arr. by Rommel Camba and to be interpreted by the PPO String Section.

The PPO Online Pocket Performance Series, which runs from February to July 2021, is a program of the Philippine Philharmonic Orchestra that can be viewed from the PPO FB page and the CCP YouTube as platforms.
