Celebrating the Luminaries of Philippine Cinema’s 100 years
SEPTEMBER 12, 2019 MARKS THE OFFICIAL LAUNCH OF THE CELEBRATION OF THE 100 YEARS OF PHILIPPINE CINEMA, A ONCE IN A LIFETIME MILESTONE FOR OUR INDUSTRY.
In honor of this truly amazing moment of our history, the Film Development Council of the Philippines, in partnership with the Department of Tourism, will stage SINE SANDAAN: Celebrating the Luminaries of Philippine Cinema’s 100 years.
It will be a night of celebrating PH cinema’s legends, icons, luminaries, and unsung heroes, with a musical and entertainment extravaganza that will highlight our journey of this hundred years. As we look back on our colorful and wonderful past, we also look forward to what lies ahead as we move towards the future of Philippine Cinema.
This is the biggest event that Film Development Council of the Philippines has ever mounted where mainstream and independent cinema will celebrate together as ONE FILM INDUSTRY.
I’m truly humbled that the 100 years of PH cinema is happening during my time as part of FDCP and we are all doing our best to make it really memorable and special.
