SMTOWN FEST: COVER KON 2014 is KFEST’s series of cover dance events. This event is a showcase and tribute to all SM Artists that we all know and love!
It is the time of the year where Sones, ELF, Aff(x)tions, Cassies, EXO Stans, Shawols, and other SM Artists fans gather in one event to pay tribute to their idols.

What we are looking are best of the best cover groups of:
[ ] TVXQ
[ ] Super Junior
[ ] Girls’ Generation
[ ] SHINee
[ ] f(x)
[ ] EXO
[ ] Infinite
[ ] Red Velvet
Info:
- Maximum of five (5) cover groups per K-Pop Idol Group will be chosen as the official representatives/tribute groups for SMTOWN FEST.
- Each Cover Group are only allowed to use one (1) full (official) song from the artist that they are covering.
- No remixing of songs.
- OFFICIAL remix is allowed.
- Audio from live performances are not allowed.
- No back-up dancers.
- Gender combination is left to the group’s discretion.
- Each Cover Group MUST HAVE an exact number of members same as the number of members of the idol group that they are covering, except for Super Junior CGs. (Ex: TVXQ – 5 members, SUPER JUNIOR – minimum of 8 maximum of 13, GIRLS’ GENERATION – 9 members, f(x) – 5 members, SHINee – 5 members, EXO – 12 members)
- Group hopping is not allowed.
- At the end of the program will announce SM TOWN FEST’s:
1) Best TVXQ Cover Group (with 2,000 Cash Prize)
2) Best Super Junior Cover Group (with 2,000 Cash Prize)
3) Best Girls’ Generation Cover Group (with 2,000 Cash Prize)
4) Best f(x) Cover Group (with 2,000 Cash Prize)
5) Best SHINee Cover Group (with 2,000 Cash Prize)
6) Best EXO Cover Group (with 2,000 Cash Prize)
7) Best Infinite Cover Group (with 2,000 Cash Prize)
8) Best Red Velvet Group (with 2,000 Cash Prize)
9) Best Costume (additional 1,000 Cash Prize)
10) SMTOWN FEST 2014 Best Cover Group (additional 3,000 Cash Prize)
How to Join
- Interested cover groups must send one (1) song dance routine audition video.
- All video submission must be filmed specifically for this audition. Footage/Fancams of performances from previous competitions/performances from any events will not be accepted.
- Email us the link of your video entry at smtownfest2014@yahoo.com along with the details below. Don’t forget to input on SUBJECT the Idol Group you are covering (ex: Subject: Super Junior):

- Deadline of registration/video submission is on August 24, 2014 at 12 midnight..
- Don’t send us multiple entries. Spamming may cause in disqualification.
- Please wait for our email notification within 42 hours upon submission.
- By entering this contest, you acknowledge that you accept and will abide by these rules and regulations.
- Those who will pass the online screening must pay a registration fee of P150 per member. You reg fee will serve as your pass.
- Qualified Participants will be posted on August 25.
Criteria for Judging:
ACCURACY & CO-ORDINATION (how well/sharp you mimic or execute the routines) – 40%
STYLE/COSTUMES (your overall look and also how you project yourself on stage) – 30%
STAGE PRESENCE (how entertaining is your performance and audience reaction) – 30%
