Theme, “SINGLEHOOD: A Parent. A Child. A Journey”
Sorok Uni Foundation Inc. holds an annual filmfest entitled Sorok Short Film Festival (SSFF). Like any other film festival, we hope to promote Filipino talents in the film-making industry, and we hope to be an avenue for them to showcase their masterpieces. What sets us apart though, is that we also advocate in raising awareness on social issues in the Philippines through our annual theme. In addition to this, the filmfest also serves as an annual fundraising activity that helps communities supported by the foundation.
This year, the proceeds of the film showing will go to the better nourishment of 209 Mangyan students from Inawa Panaynep Elementary School and 137 Mangyan students from Libagon Elementary School in Sablayan, Occidental Mindoro.
