If Victor Hugo deemed the mother’s arms as a bed of tenderness where her children sleep, then her heart will be a home where benevolence is born.

Et Amor Aeternum (Love And Eternity)

Motherhood, a raw and noble gesture of love and sacrifice, is one of the central narratives that Filipino visual artist Aileen Lanuza aims to convey. Symbolically reflective of the world’s present endeavors, her floral paintings and portraits aligns with society’s reciprocity to nurture–that benevolence is perhaps our ultimate act of healing and that it is a legacy that we are all responsible of creating.
