Theater-in-a-Backpack is Sipat Lawin Ensemble’s Workshop Series.
A “gym for the soul”, the Sipat Lawin curriculum uses a new holistic orientation in theater-making. The focus is on honing actors/individuals as effective communicators and responsible pro-active social beings. Skills and values in the art are explored in the classes just as they are practiced both in performance and in the performative everyday.
In line with the company’s goal of creating a community of artists and audiences as artists thriving in creative collaboration, Theater-in-a-Backpack offers a wide array of classes designed for performers and practitioners of different careers and fields.
