Tuxqs Rutaquio is a theater director, production designer, actor and educator. He is also the current Chairperson of the Theater Arts Program at the De La Salle-College of Saint Benilde. He was the Former Chairperson of the Production Design Program, a Former Associate Artistic Director of Tangahalang Pilipino, and a Former Virgin Labfest Dramaturg and Festival Director. He is a 2012-2016 Philippine Representative at the ASEAN Performing Arts Festival (APAF) and 2013 Gawad Buhay! Philstage Awardee for Outstanding Stage Direction (with Rody Vera). He is also known for his Outstanding Costume Design. He is a 2009 Gawad Buhay! Philstage Awardee for Outstanding Set Design and has earned a Bachelor’s & Master’s degree in Theater Arts at the University of the Philippines Diliman.
