In commemoration of the birth centennial of our National Artist for Literature Edith Tiempo, the Cultural Center of the Philippines (CCP) will launch an exhibit entitled HYMN, SOB, PSALM at the CCP Little Theater Lobby. This is to celebrate her life and literary contributions to our country.

Born on April 22, 1919, in Nueva Vizcaya, Tiempo or Mom Edith to her literary children, has penned some of the finest Philippine literary pieces such as: the novels A Blade of Fern (1978), His Native Coast (1979) One, Tilting Leaves, The Alien Corn (1992), The Builder (2004); and several collections of short stories and poems, among them are Abide, Joshua, and Other Stories (1964), The Tracks of Babylon and Other Poems (1966), The Charmer’s Box (1993), and Becoming (1993).

Curated by Danilo M. Reyes and Gwen Bautista, this exhibit Hymn, Sob and Psalm— are the graces of Edith Tiempo that persist across time.
