Gravity Art Space in collaboration with Bliss on Bliss Art Projects, Maleza Proyectos, Prologo Cafe y Libros, and The Drawing Room, are proud to screen 12 Colombian short films.
In 2022, BOGOTÁ DOMESTICADA presents the experiential vision of 9 video artists who contemplate the city they inhabit. A chaotic, noisy, sinister, congested, overpopulated and, paradigmatically, lonely city is the global image presented by this selection of short films. A Bogotá where diversity reigns and, likewise, indifference; and where, everyone always has something to tell.
The pieces that are part of this exhibition evoke the daily life of the city and the narratives that are overlooked within the urban area. They invite the viewer to take a look at the city through the eyes of all those who constitute it, and to add their voice to the conversation. The life experiences that are amalgamated within the space common to all in the daily routine and that, many times, reveal the hidden side of the territory, are finally the key pieces to understand or, at least try to read, a city like Bogotá.
Through this audiovisual sample, we look at the fabric of multiples that occupy the capital territory and that converge in the same place: the intimate but common experience of the community.
