“Coffee Conversations” brings together French writer Virginie Bouyx and Filipino writer Jessica Zafra for a discussion on writing and publishing processes.
Virginie Bouyx Virginie Bouyx is a lawyer specialising in international law. She has lived in Russia and China and currently works in Paris.
She is the author of two books published by Gallimard, Les Fleuristes and Villes Chinoises. Both books are collections of short stories, inspired by her experience as a French in foreign countries.
Jessica Zafra is an award-winning fiction writer, columnist, editor, publisher, and former television and radio host. She writes about current events, both international and local, and is known for her sharp and witty writing style. The main ingredient to her work is often fun cynicism and irony.
The discussion will be moderated by Martin Macalintal, Cultural Attaché, and Xavier Leroux, Executive Director of AFM.
