BANDIDO literally means a small band (not bandits). In its smallness, looking from the worm’s eye view sees all events and things in a wider perspective and interprets the meaning of what it’s like to be small in the form of music. With the basic rock and roll sound in their shoulder, Bandido is a band that spew napalm in their lyrics and projects seizure with their melodies. Composed of students from a state universities, Bandido is a reminiscent of old school rock and roll no-nonsense influence of Eraserheads, Siakol, Kamikaze with the pungent and melancholic wordings of the Jerks.
Bandido doesn’t dream of saving OPM in the claws of whatever or whomever clout it is now, but instead they offer fresh music served in a wooden platter of earthy voice and familiar sound that resonates both affliction and happiness of a common younger generation of millennials wrapped in a witty, humorous and sometimes painful words.
