We are excited to present Martin de Mesa’s first solo exhibition with MONO8. “Bohovee is Alive @6H_BedroomShrine” opens on Tuesday, June 8 at 4PM.

Martin de Mesa (b. 1987) is a Filipino interdisciplinary artist who works with performance art, video, drawings, paintings, and installation. Over the years, he invented a persona named “Bohovee” (being a Bold Transvestite Queen), who has been developed as an incredible “Force behind the power” (Diana Ross’ album title). His works were presented in Art Stage Singapore, Taiwan Internationational Video Art Exhibition, and at the P-Noise Festival in Copenhagen, Denmark. De Mesa received his BFA from the University of the Philippines and received a fellowship grant from the Skowhegan School of Art in Maine, USA.
