THE COMPETITION
Upon arrival, the finalists will be given a topic to write about, and two hours to write their piece.
Each finalist is to recite one 5 minute poem of his / her own construction, and will be given a ten-second grace period before the actual performance to breathe and to settle on stage.
Each finalist may use props and musical instruments during their performance. Memorization is optional .
Scoring Guidelines:
*The audience will be your judges.
*Random 5 listeners will score your performance and to be tallied up at the end of the competition.
*Scores will be stored in a sealed envelope.
*Once the competition is done, each contestant will view their own scores and announced winner goes to the finals.
Should there be a tie, each poet will recite another poem and to be judged by the audience.
Scoring:
10 points – Content/message
10 points – Audience Impact
10 points – Performance/Delivery/Feels Factor
Total 30 points!

The winner of this night will receive a trip to Sagada + accommodation, and will qualify for the grand finals!
