Together, Mimaaaaaaaaw and Angelica So take this positive attitude and transform them to art. Funny, wonderful, colorful, and reassuring art.
Mimaaaaaaaaw, who is well versed in the spontaneity of street art, brings fluid joy to the canvas. We have cats, swollen and misshapen, prancing to their own tune while transforming platitudes to merry mantras. It’s that burst of positivity that’s equal parts electrifying and comforting.
Angelica So continues to take her bunny with bulging red bubbles for eyes to pastel-colored adventures. It’s a mix of strange, adorable, and new bohemia. There’s also a palpable freedom in So’s art; it cleverly reminds us of the freedom and the uncomplicated joy of childhood. You’ll recognize it when you see it. You’ll feel something inside you light up.
