About Conversations with F. Sionil Jose
In 2016, a series entitled A Dialogue with F. Sionil Jose was launched in the Libraries where National Artist for Literature F. Sionil Jose talked about the art and obscenity of fiction, and literary criticism as well as the teaching of and the symbolism of allegory in literature. This year, the Libraries is bringing back the master storyteller in Conversations with F. Sionil Jose. In this new series, he will engage the youth of today in conversation with well-known personalities on various fields like literature, art, film, and politics.
About the Speaker
National Artist for Literature and multi-awarded author F. Sionil Jose served as writer-in-residence and faculty member of De La Salle University. He is the founder of the Philippine chapter of the international organization PEN (Poets, Playwrights, Essayists, Novelists) and runs the Solidaridad Bookshop.
A mini-exhibit will be on display at the Exhibit Area, The Learning Commons, 6F HSSH which will run from 10 – 14 June 2019.
