Little Mustard Seed has today unveiled a heartwarming Christmas single called “Ngayong Pasko” (“This Christmas”). A Filipino family brings to focus the true spirit of Christmas, as they are joined by a choir of children and grown-ups in this beautiful song of hope.
“Ngayong Pasko” is a collaboration between friends who desired to create a Christmas carol that speaks from and to the heart in the face of hardships brought about by the pandemic, tragic losses, and social and political unrest. “As holiday decorations, gift lists, and noche buena preparations are underway, the song reminds us of what are more important – spending time with our loved ones and opening our hearts to those who are in the fringes, alone or forgotten,” says lyricist, Jennie Mateo. The composer, K Sheerin Go, adds, “Ultimately, as the carol goes, our fervent hope is that we emulate the Child Jesus and together fill the whole world with love this Christmas.”
