“I paint flowers so they will not die,” a quote the great Frida Kahlo left when she was still alive.

All this halting with the untimely crisis is a long and tiring process for us who keeps on daydreaming about what will the future be like and interpret inspiration from the most absurd life can give. With the great height of suffering, death, and impunity surrounding us, perhaps we must fathom life lightly in a different buffer.

As a poetic thought says April showers bring May flowers first mentioned by Thomas Tusser in A Hundred Good Points of Husbandry (1557), what does June instill in us? Do we draw inspiration as to how Hades took Persephone to the underworld, which signals how the season changes every time she goes back to her mother Demeter? Or we also wilt in despair, lost like dried plants conversing on a falter to grow.

Consider this month as a passage thru steering uncharted wanderings of the unknown. The heated peak of weather, unpredictable showers somewhat like an unexpected visitor, a very familiar contagion we thrive daily.

Salingoy Art Group will rivet by our usual nod from the past and rever this limbo is over, embarking another leaf of collective memories with this exhibit, another chapter to rethink. To blossom like flowers that will wither yet shall stand still one frame through the speed of life.

How do we measure patience and overlook the virtue of waiting? Delve into “Pahamraw” -A Salingoy Art Group Online Exhibit for June 2021. Consists of our new breed of artist from the longest and active art group of the region. “Pahamraw” means local dialect for light stroke from a paintbrush.
