The exhibit is a gathering of working artist’s children whose visions cut through the chaos to celebrate resilience, hope, and the evolving meaning of “the holidaze” in our present time.
“𝑺𝒂𝒍𝒊𝒏𝒈𝒌𝒊𝒕” from the term salimpusa, is a Filipino word for a young playmate allowed to join a game by older kids—often to keep them from feeling left out. It refers to someone considered an “extra” or a “tag-along.” Literally meaning “joining cat,” it combines sali (join) and pusa (cat).
