We invite everyone to the “20/20 Linaw Tanaw” exhibit at Tagaytay Contemporary on Feb. 24, 2020, 10am-4pm, Monday. This exhibit, set in time of the People Power anniversary invites artists from different generations (from the Martial Law era until today) to reflect and respond to Martial Law, its legacy and how it has impacted and is impacting contemporary Philippine art and society. It consists of a multi-media exhibit, film showing, workshop, art talk and forum for artists, cultural workers, teachers, and students.
In these times where our rights are increasingly being encroached on, where false news and memes are readily accepted as truth and there is widespread degradation of social values in our government- we need to strive for greater unity and urgent action. With this program, we aim to strengthen the bond and clarify communication and understanding between generations through art in order to learn from each other’s struggles and realities so we can draw a clearer vision for our collective future.
