Danum Confab goes hybrid at Siliman University

The 6th International Conference on Philippine and Asian Studies is going take place at Siliman University, Dumaguete City by June 1 to 3, this year. Abstracts and proposals are welcome concerning but not limited to topics about Asian and/or Philippine culture, language and media written in English or Filipino containing 300-500 words with short introduction, summary of results and conclusion.

 

 

The language, culture, and media confab is accepting abstraction submission until March 31, the early bird registration ends by April 15 and the regular registration is on April 30. On the other hand, the last day of registration is May 15 only. The hybrid conference intends to reach senior high school. Both local and foreign undergraduate students, graduate students are encouraged to partake including professional, non-paper presenter and enthusiasts.

Conference Convener DLSU Professor Dr. Feorillo Petronillo A. Demeterio III welcomes students, academicians and scholars on Philippine and Asian Studies: Language, Culture and Media. Danum Conference started as postgraduate activity in 2014, the first conference was held at Corregidor with a handful of graduate students through the country, it has grown since to international stage and prominence.

The 6th International Conference on Philippine and Asian Studies is organized by De La Salle University, Silliman University with the DLSU College of Liberal Arts and SU Philosophy Department, Danum (Dalubhasaan ng mga Umuusbong na Mag-aaral sa Araling Filipino), DLSU Salita (Sentro sa Pagsasalin, INtelektuwalisasyon at Adbokasiya) and Andrew Gonzalez Philippine Citation Index.
