August will truly be an exciting month for lovers of Filipino films. Counting down days to the official screening of the Pista ng Pelikulang Pilipino films on August 16-22, 2017 in all theaters nationwide, the Film Development Council of the Philippines has announced more promos offered in the cinemas.
As audiences will have their pick of twelve (12) equally stunning and quality Filipino films, cinemas will be offering the following promos for everyone who would surely like to watch more than one films on discounted rates:
- Student Rates. Students in Metro Manila may watch films in any theater for P 150 while those outside Metro Manila may watch for only P 100 by just presenting a valid ID at the ticket register.
- 4+1 Barkada Promo. For any single purchase of four tickets for one (1) film, customers will get one (1) free ticket.
- SM ePlus Promo with Limited Edition PPP branded cards. For SM cinemas nationwide, customers may purchase a limited edition PPP branded ePlus card for P 990 which they may use to watch six (6) films.
At very low prices, audiences will get to support Filipino films and celebrate stories that resonate and imbibe the Filipino craft of storytelling. In anticipation of the event, everyone is invited to spend August 13 at the Burnham Green, Luneta Park for a Pista at the Park with fun games, food, cultural performances, and a motorcade of the stars and cast of the PPP films.
Pista ng Pelikulang Pilipino is in partnership with several agencies and private companies, including NCCA, MTRCB, PCOO, PIA, Komisyon sa Wikang Filipino, MMDA, National Parks Committee, DPWH, ULAP, several LGUs nationwide, Globe Telecom, Sip Water, Vikings, WhiteSpace, Inc., Sequoia Hotel, and Optima Digital.
