“Fleeting” as a prompt, the artists created mostly intuitive and contemplative abstract works which reflect the artists’ deeply individual preoccupations and practices. Ranging from automatic paintings to repetitive patterns trigger attention, “Fleeting” encompasses the range of subjective meditative practice expressed visually by the invited artists. Aesthetic choices are guided by preoccupations which range from industrialization, natural beauty, emotional exploration, sound, materiality, uncertainty, local history, and even as social interventions, to create intuitive and poetic works which map promising branches of local contemporary abstraction.
