Iba’t Ibang Magkakaibang Pagtatapos – A look into new beginnings and endings

MANILA – De La Salle-College of Saint Benilde’s School of Design and Arts (DLS-CSB SDA) Dance Program will be presenting Iba’t Ibang Magkakaibang Pagtatapos at DLS-CSB’s 6th floor SDA Black Box. Iba’t Ibang Magkakaibang Pagtatapos is directed, co-choreographed and produced by Alyssa R. Palma and written by Kyle Confesor. The production is the Bachelor of Performing Arts in Dance thesis of Alyssa R. Palma. Alyssa was able to gather her production team by collaborating with students from the different courses of De La Salle-College of Saint Benilde.

The performance revolves around Ruby, a girl who has long dreamed of becoming a famous dancer. Ruby believes she has the potential to be a dancer, however, she never thought that a visit to the mall would change her life.

The theme of the play revolves around self-reflection and the beginnings and endings of different stories. The performance will also tap into how interpersonal relationships impact a person’s capacity for introspection. Allowing time to get to know oneself will enable a person to better understand themselves and others. It opens up an opportunity for personal development, that support from others will help the process but whether or not the person will allow this change to happen will depend on their decision to do so.

The dance performances will be held at the 6/F Black Box at the De La Salle-College of Saint Benilde School of Design and Arts building. The show dates are March 1 at 7:00pm and March 2 at 1:00pm and 7:00pm. Tickets are Php 150 for Benildeans and Php 200 for non-Benildeans. Tickets may be purchased by contacting Shannon at 0917 515 1383 or Ruthie at 9176268710. Non-Benildeans are required to bring a valid ID to enter the building.
