Baguio Convention Center
Baguio, Benguet
If there is one thing that this pandemic has taught us is the importance of community and that despite the lack of physical contact, we are still pretty much connected to each other. We were thrust into this whole new world of social distancing and social networking and as social beings, we had to adapt. At the end of the day, we remain linked despite the limitations; otherwise we will feel dangerously untethered.
Baguio artists are set to break this silence that this pandemic has imposed on them at the upcoming Ibagiw 2020 Creative City Festival. Staging a Contemporary Art Exhibition entitled INTERLINKED at the newly refurbished Baguio Convention Center, the artists will showcase their masterpieces that explore themes of “community, collective memory, personal and cultural identity, environmental activism, social commentary, contemporary society, humor and local color.” (E. R. Alcantara)
The exhibition runs from November 13 to December 12, 2020. Come and join our artists as they share their creative expressions of community, as they “continue to explore concepts, play with fresh ideas, process new as well historical information, and test the limits of the imagination, not to entertain or impress, but to help make sense of our world from where we are, because failing to do so would render us invisible.” (E. R. Alcantara)
Breathe in art and culture. Breathe in Baguio.
