Katya Angara

A published illustrator, writer, gonzo curator, art model, philocalist and dendrophile, Katya Angara completed her BA (Hons) Culture, Criticism and Curation Honours degree in Central Saint Martins in London at the top of her class. Going by the playful pseudonyms Plant Diwata and Blonde Ninja Vampire, Angara transmutes her affinities for drawing, paper art, and black and white photography into a shape-shifting feast for the senses. Her work is a deeply cathartic exploration of the electric ecstasy of the shadow self, reflected in the naive rawness and vulnerability of her modest materials and processes.
