What a difference being different makes. Odd One Out reflects the essence of Cases’ artistic vision, where being different is not merely accepted but celebrated as a unique gift and a source of strength.

In this collection, Cases explores the idea that diversity is not a disability but a kind of superpower, enabling individuals to perceive the world from a higher frequency and contribute positively to the greater good.

At the heart of Cases’ compositions are ferns and begonias, rendered in a mesmerizing palette of purple, black, pink, yellow, and blue. Each painting appears as a cluster of foliage, but upon closer inspection, one discovers a singular leaf or plant highlighted amidst the intricacy of the composition.

Cases masterfully employs the concept of variegation, not only in the botanical elements of his artwork but also in the broader context of diversity. Variegation, defined as the diversity of colors or patterns, serves as a metaphor for the richness and complexity of the human experience.

Through “Odd One Out,” Lee Cases invites us to embrace our individuality, celebrate diversity, and recognize the power of unique self in creating a more colorful and inclusive world.
