Porte Aperte

Galleria Duemila unveils a selection of works from the collection along with newly consigned works, making them accessible to the public in its exhibition space in Pasay City.

A mix of new and old, the works on display are testimony to the past and present of local art and set up a dialogue that connects generations. The exhibition thus serves as a narrative journey through the evolution and diversity of Filipino art, offering social, political, and contemporary commentary.

“Porte Aperte” (“open doors” or “open studios” in Italian) features a total of 36 works by 17 celebrated Filipino and international artists including masters and emerging young artists whose practices span a wide variety of mediums.

From delicate drawings to thought-provoking prints, intricate sculptures and collages to dynamic video installations, the exhibition is a reflection of Galleria Duemila’s enduring legacy over nearly half a century.
