Ngayong darating na Sabado na!

“Sa Pula, Sa Puti, the current exhibition of Kalye Kolektib, extends the discourse that was started in the artist group’s previous collaborative project Ang Babae at Ang Dragon which they began working on in 2016, then finally exhibited in 2017. That exhibition from almost 4 years ago held a prophetic tone as it pertained to the looming threat of the Chinese government’s incursion of the West Philippine Sea. That time, the threat seemed distant or “off shore” literally and figuratively. Recent developments, however, seem to indicate that the prophecy is unfolding. What was before an off shore red menace has now crossed our boundaries, posing threats even in the micro levels of our society. It is in this sense of immediacy that Kalye Kolektib felt compelled to revisit and continue the discourse once again…” an excerpt from Arvi Fetalvero’s ‘Sa Pula, Sa Puti’

Join us this Saturday, 27th of November as Eskinita Art Gallery features ‘Sa Pula, Sa Puti’, a group exhibit showcasing the works of Kalye Kolektib artists Dennis Atienza, Robert Besana, Rai Cruz, Alfredo Esquillo, Arvi Fetalvero, Ivy Floresca, Kirby Roxas, Ioannis Sicuya and Anthony Victoria. Owing to the diversity of perspectives of each member, the group tackles themes and concepts not from a single stand-point, but from many different angles. Thus, their exhibits give the vibe of a discourse rather than a one-sided commentary of a particular issue.

The show will be on view at Eskinita Art Gallery, Makati from November 27 – December 18, 2021. We are open Monday-Saturday, 11:00am – 4:00pm. You may contact +639178850730 for inquiries.

Thank you and We hope to see you!
