The stories exchanged the passing of time, and the journeys thru life.

Handing down memories from one generation to the next, sharing perspectives and points of view with contemporaries, and having a spirited discourse and discussion with those we respect.

These telling of tales are what make a significant impact and help shape our deeply rooted belief systems. Being Filipino, we have a very strong influence that comes from our exposure to Eastern culture — whether it be manifested thru music, food, design, beliefs, attitudes, superstitions, and art. Yet we also have a strong influence from the West in the exact same manner.

This exhibit is a celebration of Eastern and Western cultures, through the eyes and interpretation of the modern contemporary Filipino artist who is a melting pot of both, yet whose spirit is like a river that flows with the tales of time & tide he has been told and led to believe.

“We are the sum total of our experiences. Those experiences — bethey positive or negative — make us the person we are, at any given point in our lives. And, like a flowing river, those same experiences, and those yet to come, continue to influence and reshape the person we are, and the person we become. None of us are the same as we were yesterday, nor will be tomorrow.” – BJ Neblett
