Looking into flames, at cave paintings, or up at the night sky was formerly how humans experienced the sublime — the buzz of it all, the terror, ecstasy, and incomprehensible feelings of being alive. Suddenly, people get sublime from having a conversation with a friend rather than skydiving. A sudden strong feeling of excitement and thrill is being generated from being around one another. The sublime has turned inward. In its most basic form, human expression is a single-world expletive. The truth is that life is profane, even vulgar.

‘When Death Dies, All Things Live’ confronts the sublime in humanity and our capacity to inaugurate apocalypse. The works traverse humanity on the brink of the perish of time, the possibilities of an apocalyptic reality, the ever-ambiguous purgatory-paradise authored by mankind.
