The Alliance Française de Manille is celebrating its 100th year anniversary with an exceptional acoustic concert by French-Spanish artist Manu Chao!

Manu Chao and his guitarist Luciano Falico will perform an acoustic concert of French songs from the album “Sibérie m’était contéee”. The special guest performer will be Filipino singer, rapper and songwriter Quest.

This one-night-only concert is organized by Alliance Française de Manille and SM Aura Premier, in partnership with the French Embassy.

ABOUT MANU CHAO

Manu Chao is a French-born musician of Spanish origin. He sings in French, Spanish, English, Italian, Arabic, Catalan, Galician, and Portuguese and occasionally in other languages. Chao began his musical career in Paris, busking and playing with groups such as Hot Pants and Los Carayos, which combined a variety of languages and musical styles.

With friends and his brother Antoine Chao, he founded the band Mano Negra in 1987, achieving considerable success, particularly in Europe. He became a solo artist after its breakup in 1995, and since then tours regularly with his live band, Radio Bemba. He won the latin grammy for best alternative song in 2007 and was nominated for best alternative music album and best music video in 2008.
