This is another kind of #ThrowbackThursday— taking Classic Filipino Cinema to another level with the deconstruction of notable titles that marked turning points in the local film history. The Lopez Arts Initiative is bringing together the aspects of storytelling, film restoration and archives in a casual, community-inspired platform.
We’ll have a mix of curators, conversations, behind-the-scenes that will shed light on layers we’ve never seen before about these remarkable films. Imagine being at arm’s length with those who have seen history take place, down to hands that lifted these from actual film and making them relevant in the digital age.
