The invention of instant film produced new approaches to recording images, settings, people, and landscapes. Teo Esguerra’s solo exhibition “Instants” features a selection from the artist’s collection, spanning over a decade of his practice. Esguerra notes that these photographs constitute feelings that are “fleeting and infinite.” Every image presents a single moment that has materialized instantaneously, and like memories, they remain unique and can never be duplicated in the same way again.
