Dance Crew Battles

DANCE CONTEST MECHANICS

1. This Dance Production Number Contest is open to all JCI Area 2 Chapters with a minimum of three (3) members to a maximum of six (6) members each registration.
2. A Chapter can send up to 3 groups to represent their chapter.
3. Each performance must at least run for 2 minutes to a maximum of 4 minutes with maximum preparation time of 5 minutes in between numbers.
4. The production number must be in line with the Step Up Movie Theme. Please see pegs and links for reference:

5. Concept, music and/or video files must be submitted on or before November 14, 2015.
6. Each registration fee costs P2,500 and will be open from Sept 28 to Nov 7, 2015.
7. To register, forms must be completely filled out and copies of the following must be attached.
   • a.) One (1) Picture of the participant / group
   • b.) List of Names of each member
   • c.) Chapter President endorsement
   • d.) List of Props (to get clearance from the venue/organizers)
   • e.) Name and Contact number of Chapter Representative
8. Each participant must at least be a baby JCI, regular member, associate or senator. All professional dancers who are non JCI members are disqualified to join the contest.
9. Each Chapter must appoint a representative who will attend general meetings, briefings and orientations. He or she will also be the onto person for his or her respective chapter.
10. Registration forms and all requirements must be submitted to Director Zaira Tumang on or before November 7, 2015, 12 midnight. Forms must be emailed to jcimpu@gmail.com
11. Contest proper will be held from 8pm to 11 pm in Pangaea City of Dreams Manila.
12. Judging will be according to the following criteria:
    • Choreography/Coordination 40%
    • Creativity 20%
    • Costume 20%
    • Audience Impact 20%
    • TOTAL of 100%
13. The Judges decision will be final and irrevocable
14. Prizes at stake are:
    • Champion P15,000
    • 1st Place 10,000
    • 2nd Place 5,000* In case of a tie, the prize will be divided between the two winning groups
